Two groups of Dominican Sisters of Hope gathered in the Wellsprings Room at the Ossining Center of Hope for meetings that took on a new flavor. Both groups invited into their meeting space a member of the group who was not able to participate in person.

At the Extended Leadership meeting in April, Sister Monica McGloin participated from Cincinnati, Ohio. At the Sabbath Community Chapter meeting in May, Sister Mary Ann Clausson participated from Prouilhe in southern France. Both had had little experience with video-conferencing, but the excitement of being able to participate from afar made their efforts to get connected all worthwhile. "Skype" and "MegaMeeting" are now familiar words in the vocabulary of all those in attendance!

Making the best use of affordable technology is one of many action initiatives that are part of a Strategic Plan developed recently by the Dominican Sisters of Hope.
